Regional Contractor Liaison


Information Discovery Services LLC, (IDS) is currently seeking Regional Contractor Liaisons for our Federal contracts. The position will be remote and can be located anywhere in the continental US. The Contractor Liaison's goal is to ensure a quality product is provided to the customers in a timely manner. The Contractor Liaison provides investigator case workload management oversight as well as oversight of the investigator workforce in a designated area of the country. Primary duties of the Contractor Liaison include managing a diverse group of remote independent contractor investigators; monitoring the progress of field investigations in association with timely completion within established contract guidelines; coordination with our customer workload teams to provide efficient case assignments; providing on-going oversight and instruction regarding new policies, clarifications and guidance put forth by our customers and government agencies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with independent contractor investigators on regular basis via telephone, voice mail, and e-mail.
  • Manage investigative case timeliness, quality, independent contract investigator capacity, integrity assurance guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Remotely coach and motivate a group of independent contractor investigators as needed
  • Point of contact for independent contractor investigators regarding administrative processes to include federal contract required training, manifesting, PII losses, access issues, and contract compliance.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of the independent contractor investigators weekly and monthly workload assignments
  • Effectively utilize customer and internal database reports to manage independent contractor investigators
  • Initiate follow-up processes to ensure tracking, reassignment, and completion of re-filed casework
  • Communicate workload and capacity needs to customer workload teams
  • Responsible for regionals capacity planning, recruitment, and on-boarding activities
  • Ensure administrative procedures regarding resource changes are completed
  • Assist with any invoicing for the regional independent contractor investigators
  • Ensure all policy updates are distributed to independent contractor investigators timely
  • Attend project meetings and training classes, as required both internally and with customers
  • Prepares for and conduct field visits and Meet & Greets as needed (less than 10% travel)
  • Furnish management with data and recommendations for resource needs and incentive programs
  • Perform duties as requested and directed by senior management

Requirements include:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree - 4 years of progressively responsible work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Work Experience:
  • Qualified candidates must have experience that falls into one of the following categories:
  • 1 year of experience supervising/managing DCSA, DHS, Paperproof or related background investigations field investigators
  • 2 years of lead/mentor/field training investigative experience
  • 2 years of general management experience
  • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in managing a remote group of Independent Contractors
  • Skills in negotiation and motivation of Independent Contractors
  • Experience in training, coaching and advising
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Dependable and highly responsible
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all client groups as a representative of IDS
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, changing environment

  • Intermediate or better Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS)
  • Federal Background Investigation REQUIRED, please read.
  • The selected candidate for this position must have had a background investigation at the T3-T5 level in the past 5 years and still be active. They must also be able to successfully maintain a favorably adjudicated government background investigation during their employment. This background investigation requires U.S. citizenship and will include an investigation of 10+ years of history including such items as financial, education, employment, medical, residence, and personal records.
